Massage

My training in the healing arts started at an early age at the hands of my Grandfather who passed on wisdom and healing traditions from the Maori culture of his native New Zealand, and from the Huna teachings of the Polynesian Islands. All my bodywork begins and ends in this form whether during a gentle stress relief treatment, or incorporated into the more profound pressures associated with Deep Tissue massage.

Working in bodywork since 1991, for the past eight years I have been treating patients in clinics emphasizing a holistic approach to total mind/body/spirit health. Seeing someone transition from a painful expression to one of relief and well-being makes this the work I truly have to do.

My sessions are predicated solely upon the guest’s needs; there is no agenda brought to the table. The path to a healthy life includes bodywork. It helps to release pain, it gives us a chance to look calmly within and it facilitates the conscious elimination of those patterns, which do not serve us. This soothes the mind, heals the body, and nourishes the spirit.

Through Tui-Na, acupressure and PNF stretching, I bring principles of Tai-Chi and yoga to my sessions as well.
