The Trager Approach® is sometimes called meditation in motion. Through very gentle and rhythmic movements such as rocking, stretching, vibration, traction, and shaking of the body, the therapist provides an environment of movement without effort. Thus encouraging the client to relax from the inside out.
While lying completely or partially clothed and covered on the massage table, the guest is soothed with a gently rocking motion. The guest experiences the possibility of moving freely, effortlessly, and gracefully in an independent fashion. The movement is very soothing, with guests often drifting off into a sleep-like state. Trager® can help release tight, locked up muscles without having to use deep pressure. It is perfect for people who cannot handle much pressure.
